Field work

As a natural resources/journalism graduate, I often have to answer questions like “what do you want to do with that?” or “what does that mean” or “do you want to work for National Geographic?” The answers are, in sequence: no idea, I’m a truth-seeking tree-hugger, and no thank-you not right now. To be honest, I have no idea what a career in this field means for me at the moment. However, I do know that I am absolutely loving the kind of work I have been able to do in the field. For my family and friends to get a sense of what the heck I’m doing with my time and for up-and-coming natural scientists who are wondering what the heck they can do with their life, this blog is for you (and also for me.. a public diary, if you will.)
